This trip to Europe was extra special because I not only medalled at the Youth Worlds but I got to travel with my sister.
First we travelled to Kiel Germany, where I competed at the Kiel Week regatta. The regatta had an awesome atmosphere on land, the shorelines were filled will food stalls, rides and concerts. It was a open event and I placed 17th out of 42 boats.

Then we traveled to Belgium for a training regatta in Nieuwpoort to experience the extreme current in preparation for the Youth Worlds in The Hague.
On our day off, my sister and I went on a road trip to France. We drove through the french countryside, to a city called Lille. We found two amazing bakeries and toured through the city. We also got to watch the Dunkirk stage of the Tour De France which was the most amazing experience.
The final destination was the biggest event of the trip. The Youth World Championships in the Hague, Netherlands. It was an awesome experience to be amongst the best youth sailors in the world and it felt very special to be on the podium representing Australia. We experienced light winds and strong current for the regatta, which led to many abandoned starts, waiting around and many new friends were made along the way.

Thank you to everyone who helped to towards this amazing result!
